This guide introduces selected general reference sources on Hong Kong legal materials in the Chinese University of Hong Kong Library.

The Centre for Comparative and Public Law was established within the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong in mid-1995. Its goals are to promote research in the fields of public and comparative law, and to disseminate the results of that research through publications and making materials available on-line. The Centre's research projects include the international law implications of the resumption of Chinese sovereignty in 1997, including the Hong Kong treaty project, immigration law and practice, equality and the law in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Bill of Rights, human rights protection under the Basic Law and international human rights law.

Website of the HKIAC. The HKIAC was established in 1985 to assist disputing parties to solve their disputes by arbitration and by other means of dispute resolution. It was established by a group of the leading business and professional people in Hong Kong to be the focus for Asia of dispute resolution.

The HKWCT Collection is part of a project funded by the Hong Kong SAR government's Research Grants Council. The Collection's website provides details of, and access to, the case files of 46 trials involving 123 persons who were tried in Hong Kong for war crimes committed during the Second World War. Due to restrictions imposed by the copyright holder, The National Archives, it is only possible for persons based at one of the universities in Hong Kong to have full access to the case files. However, other documents are available to everyone.
