This guide introduces selected general reference sources on European Communities legal materials in the Chinese University of Hong Kong Library.

The text of all Council of Europe treaties, their explanatory reports, the status of signatures and ratifications, the declarations and reservations made by States, as well as the notifications issued by the Treaty Office since 2005, are available on this website.

EUR-Lex provides direct free access to European Union law. Here you can consult the Official Journal of the European Union as well as the treaties, legislation, case-law and legislative proposals.

Official website of the European Commission. It has the latest official press releases, photos and live TV coverage of EU affairs as well as details of forthcoming events and links to the policies administered and implemented by the Commission

This site is by the Institute of Transnational Law at the University of Texas at Austin's School of Law is a resource for French, German, Austrian and Israeli legal materials in the fields of constitutional, administrative, contract and tort law. The English translations of decisions from Germany and France include cases from the Reichsgericht, the Bundesverfassungsgericht, the Bundesgerichtshof, the Conseil Constitutionnel, the Conseil d'Etat and the Cour de Cassation.

Database on German, Austrian and Swiss legal history.

This is the database on inter-institutional procedures and follows the major stages of the decision-making process between the Commission and the other institutions and monitors the works of the various institutions involved (European Parliament, Council, ESC, Committee of the Regions, European Central Bank, Court of Justice, etc.). PreLex follows all Commission proposals (legislative and budgetary dossiers, conclusions of international agreements) and communications from their transmission to the Council or the European Parliament Links allow users to access directly the electronic texts available (COM documents, Official Journal, Bulletin of the European Union, documents of the European Parliament, press releases, etc.).
