How to Use the MakerSpace Facilities and Services: High Performance Workstations

The Editing Booths are designed to provide a semi-enclosing environment for video editing and 3D modeling. There are four high-performance workstations available at the Editing Booths.

Eligible Users: CUHK students and staff

Terms of Use:

• The high-performance workstations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Borrow a booth at Learning Garden HelpDesk. A maximum of 4 hours per day. 
• Personal belongings in the booth with no reservation may be removed by Library staff without notice.
• The computers are equipped with a “reborn card” which will erase all data, documents or programs after re-booting.  All data, documents or programs saved to a laptop will be erased upon its return and can’t be recovered.  Users have to save all their work to their own flash disk and the Library will not be responsible for any loss of data.
• Unless otherwise approved by the University Librarian, all high-performance workstations at CUHK Library are reserved for booking and use by eligible CUHK members for educational and non-commercial purposes ONLY.  
• Users should comply with copyright, patent, and other intellectual policy regulations, which do include specific exceptions for fair use.
