How to cite DynaMed topics

DynaMed is a point-of-care resource for health information. It is an evidence-based, clinical reference tool designed for use at point-of-care by physicians and other health care professionals. It provides topical information on diseases, disorders, diagnostics, and treatments summarized from peer reviewed journals and systematic evidence review databases.

Select DynaMed:

From the Databases page on the Library homepage, select DynaMed.

Quick Search:

1. Select Specialties to browse content by lists of evidence based topics.

2. Type your keywords in the search box and press the search button to search across specialties. It offers Boolean searching.

View Your Results:

3. On the search results page, there is option to narrow results by content type.

4. Click on any of the search results, content is further grouped by Topic, Images, and Updates. 

• Under Topic, click on Management to get treatment information for the medical condition. Click on Patient Information for handouts and resources available from different sources. 
• Select Updates for current information related to this topic. 

DynaMed includes over 500 interactive clinical calculators, equations and decision trees. Click on Calculators at the top menu bar of the page to explore. 

Drug information on dosage, interactions, therapeutic use, etc. can be found on the tab Drugs A-Z and Drug Interactions.
