CUHK Data Hack 2025 will be held from 18:00 on 28 February (Fri) to 19:00 on 2 March (Sun) in face-to-face mode.

Day 1

28 February (Friday)
Opening and Team Formation (18:00 - 21:00)

The Opening will be held face-to-face in University Library:

Venue: VR Zone, Learning Garden and MakerSpace, LG/F, University Library

18:00 – 18:30 Registration: in person (Light refreshment will be provided)
18:30 – 19:00 Introduction & Briefing
19:00 – 21:00 Team Formation

ALL Participants are required to join the opening.  Individual participants / in-complete teams must join the Team Formation session.

Day 2

1 March 2025 (Saturday)
Hackathon!

  • For participants who want to work on campus, you are welcome to work in:
    • Learning Garden and MakerSpace, LG/F, University Library which opens 24 hours with light refreshment (while stock lasts)
    • Digital Scholarship Lab, G/F, University Library during Library opening hours (08:20 - 19:00)  (No eating & drinking is allowed) (Note: DSLab is reserved for event on 1 Mar (Sat) morning.  It will be available after 13:00)
  • All the teams will be assigned with a mentor for advice.  Arrange to meet your mentor by any means.

Day 3

2 March 2025 (Sunday)
Final Presentation (16:00 - 19:00)

The Final Presentation will be held in VR Zone, Learning Garden and MakerSpace, LG/F, University Library.  It opens 24 hours for on-site discussion:

up to early afternoon Preparation for Project Presentation
  • Light snacks will be provided in designated area in Learning Garden and MakerSpace
  • Light refreshment will be provided to participants who work on that day during lunch time
15:30 - 16:00 Get ready for the Final Presentation
16:00 - 19:00 Final presentation & Award Ceremony
