scite: Publication Search

Publication Search

The following shows you how to conduct an article search in scite.

1. Enter a title, author name, or DOI in the text box to search for a publication.

2. Click on a publication name from the result list to access the publication detail page.

3. The publication details and abstract are at the top of the page.

4. In this example, the publication has been cited by 173 citing publications and has referred to 61 publications. The 'Cited by Section' displays the citing publications and the contexts in which citations have been made, also known as citation statements. In the screen capture below, the publication has been mentioned three times in a citing publication. You can see the three citation statements and where they belong (e.g. introduction, discussion, or implication section of a citing publication).

5. Filter options are on the left-hand side, including paper sections, citation types, year published, publication types, authors, and journals.

6. You may create a network graph to view the citations. Click the [Visualize citations] button at the bottom of the page.
