Begin your legal studies and research with our comprehensive resources!

Find Books

The most efficient way to locate legal print books and ebooks is by searching the Library homepage. Simply select Books from the pull-down menu and Enter search terms in the search box, then click on the magnifying glass icon as shown below:

You will then see the result page. We can select Held by library to limit results to print books, or select Full Text Online to limit results to e-books:

Accessing e-Books

To read an e-book, click on the link under View It and sign in using your OnePass password. Note that depending on the publisher's policies, you may or may not be allowed to download e-books in PDF format.

Locating Print Books

For print books, check under Location Items to see if there is an available copy for loan. Click on Locate to check the location of the book by Call Number range. You can borrow the book using our self-checkout machines or at the service counter.

If you prefer to pick up the print books in the Legal Resources Centre, follow the steps in Inter-Branch Book Delivery.

If you need to borrow print books from other UGC-funded libraries, refer to the steps in HKALL.
