Introduction of Interprofessional Healthcare I & II – MEDF1041 & MEDF1042

Students will learn about interprofessional collaboration and teamwork in the healthcare setting and foundational knowledge including effective communication skills among peers and patients. Besides, students will learn a variety of essential clinical skills including basic life support, aseptic technique and vital signs.


MEDF1042

Students will learn in interprofessional teams on key healthcare topics such as biomedical ethics, global health, artificial intelligence, professionalism, medical humanities and sociology. Guided team discussions on case scenarios will explore deeper learning of ethics and artificial intelligence. Community visits and experience learning aim to enhance students’ understanding of medical humanities and sociology.  In additional. Students will learn about vaccinations and demonstrate basic clinical skills of intramuscular, intradermal and intranasal injections. Students are exposed to and discuss these concepts in English, through which their English communication are trained.
