Biography: Hello. I am Xuancu, now forth year PhD in linguistics. I am interested in infant language acquisition and neuroscience of language development. My primary research question is how infants deal with multimodal information and acquire language. As my research is transdisciplinary, I have collected and managed diverse datasets, such as video data, behavioral data and neural data. My research experience gives me lots of information to share as data champion.

Biography: I am a first-year Ph.D. student in philosophy. Doing philosophy, at its core, involves making claims or adopting beliefs and supporting them with arguments. Preparatory work includes the study of primary and secondary literature, which entails analyzing texts into statements, arguments, and key concepts to construct a database. Employing Research Data Management (RDM) in philosophy, or similar disciplines, is a relatively new approach, but it promises to greatly enhance efficiency by managing such databases. As the new Data Champion, I am eager to explore this possibility and assist students from my faculty and beyond with RDM.

Biography: I specialize in language acquisition, heritage languages, multilingualism, language processing, and psycholinguistics, with a strong interdisciplinary background in corpus studies, translation, and Asian languages such as Tagalog, Cantonese, and Hong Kong Sign Language. My intercultural competencies enhance my understanding of individuals and societies, and I aim to serve the Faculty of Arts by fostering effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Additionally, I served on the Brain and Mind Institute's Research Data Management committee, reviewing data management processes to ensure compliance. I also coordinated and conducted workshops on research data management for humanities researchers, focusing on organization, preservation, and accessibility.

Biography: Prof. Herbert H. Loong holds conjoint appointments of Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Oncology and Deputy Medical Director of the Phase 1 Clinical Trials Centre of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His clinical and research interests include Thoracic Oncology, Sarcoma Medical Oncology and Health Economics.
In recent years, Dr. Loong has co-founded the Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium (APODDC) and the Asia Pacific Coalition Against Lung Cancer (APCLC).
Dr. Loong has served or continues to serve in various capacities in various professional international oncology bodies, including the International Affairs Committee and the Asia-Pacific Regional Council of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Membership, Education and Communications Committees of the IASLC. He was elected as a Board Member of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) for 2022-2024.
