3D Printing Service

Bring Design Concepts to Life - 3D printing is a process of making a physical model, which helps users to rapidly build prototyping of their working models.

We hope to inspire students to explore new interest in design and help them to bring their creations and design concepts to life.

Self-service 3D printing is available for current CUHK students, staff and faculty.

Booking a Consultation Session

For first time users, we strongly recommend setting up a consultation session on 3D scanning with staff to learn how to use and operate the scanners.

For setting up a consultation session, please use the booking system to reserve a consultation session.

 

Service Hours

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday (except public and University holidays)

 

Conditions of Use

  1. The 3D Printer may be booked for up to a maximum of 4 hours per day. If the demand for access to the printers is not high at the time, a session may be extended.
  2. Ensuring fair access to all eligible users, the 3D Printers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Fees

  1. Accessing to the 3D Printers is free for CUHK students, staff and faculty.
  2. The Library will supply filament.  The material cost will be charged for HK$1/gram.
